Due to ongoing increase of bunker costs, NileDutch wishes to inform all custumoers that the BAF will be adjusted upwards to the following levels as from the 1st of September 2008:

09.07.2008Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF) - ECSA / WAF Service

Please note that as of 1st of August 2008 the BAF for shipments between ECSA and WAF will increase to US$ 720 per teu.

EWATA Lines have reviewed the congestion situation in West African ports and wish to advise that Southbound congestion surcharges to Lobito adjusted to the following levels:

The above will take effect from 21st July 2008.

Please note that out of publications in News papers/Lloyd List and on the website of EWATA the congestion surcharge for Luanda and Matadi was adjusted downwards.

This trend is in contradiction to the congestion NileDutch was and is facing at present. Therefore it is decided to keep the Luanda Congestion Surcharge as it is i.e.

The above will take effect from 1st June 2008.

10.12.2007Emergency Terminal Congestion Surcharge Lobito

Due to the heavy congestion in the port of Lobito, Angola, the stacking of empty containers within the port premises is not permitted. As a consequence, arrangements have to be made to ensure off dock stacking of empties.

EWATA Member Lines have decided to implement an EMERGENCY TERMINAL CONGESTION SURCHARGE of Euro 170 / GBP 120 per TEU to recover these costs. The surcharge will be cancelled when the situation is back to normal.

The above will take effect from 1st January 2008 until further notice.

17.08.2007Low Sulphur Fuel Surcharge NWC Ports

We inform our customers that by EU Directive 2005/33/EC, the North Sea and English Channel will shortly be added to the list of Sulphur Oxide Emission Control Areas under Marpol Convention 73/78 and vessels operating in these waters will be required to burn low sulphur content fuel. As a consequence of this measure, NileDutch advise its customers that a Low Sulphur Fuel Surcharge of Euro 4 - GBP 3 per teu will be applied on top of the normal BAF to shipments to and from ports in these areas.


The above will become applicable to- and from the NWC ports with immediate effect from 01 sep 2007.

Due to the ongoing tight space situation on board of our vessels, following Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) will be implemented:

This surcharge will be applicable for all cargoes loaded on board of vessels of our Far East to West Africa service (i.e. inclusive cargoes originating from the Arabian Gulf and Indian Sub-Continent which being routed via Singapore).

The above will take effect from 15th September 2007.
