NileDutch - carrying cargo to West Africa for over 25 years

Asia-South & West Africa Service

For years, the West Africa trade was specifically and historically focused on Western Europe by ex-colonial ties. However, matters have changed. Cheaper sourcing has meant that cargo flows from Asia have increased sharply since 2001.

China has become a huge investor in (to be re-built) Angola in particular. In 2005, imports from the East effectively overtook those from the West for the first time. NileDutch has responded to these developments with a prime solution for the carriage of our Far East customers´ rolling, project, breakbulk and container cargo between Asia, South Africa and West Africa.

In August 2006 we launched a dedicated service calling at: Shanghai - Xingang - Singapore - Durban - Luanda - Namibe - Lobito - Pointe Noire.

Ports such as Hong Kong, Huangpu, Port Kelang and/or others can also be served directly upon sufficient inducement, or with transhipment at Shanghai or Singapore.

Via Pointe Noire (Congo Rep.) we can arrange fast and safe distribution to ports along the West African coast with our own vessels. Initially operating at monthly intervals, this new multipurpose service will cater for motor vehicles, high-and-heavy equipment, wheeled cargoes, projects, breakbulk, as well as containers. As our existing weekly transhipment operation via Durban has continued unchanged, NileDutch´s overall Asia-Africa service frequency is further enhanced.
