NILEDUTCH NEW BUNKER ADJUSTMENT FACTOR (NBF)
Dear Valued Customers,
The International Maritime Organization (IMO) requires that from 1 January 2020, Sulphur content in the fuel used for international shipping must be limited globally to 0.5%, compared with the current standard of 3.5%, in order to minimize emissions of Sulphur oxides from ships.
NileDutch supports the new rules which will improve the ecological footprint of the shipping industry and as such we will implement as from October 1st, the New Bunker Adjustment Factor (NBF) for dry van/special and reefer containers.
The NBF will be different per trade, based on the fuel price in key bunkering ports, and the trade factor for the specific trade. The NBF will be charged separately from the ocean freight. The NBF per trade will be as follows:

We wish to thank our customers for their usual understanding and support. Please do not hesitate to contact your local NileDutch representative for information.
