NILEDUTCH NEW BUNKER ADJUSTMENT FACTOR (NBF)
Dear Valued Customers,
NileDutch supports the IMO 2020 regulation which requires all shipping companies to reduce their sulphur emissions. This new regulation will improve the ecological footprint of the shipping industry. To cover the substantially increased fuel-related costs, NileDutch has implemented the New Bunker Adjustment Factor (NBF).
NBF is different per trade, based on the fuel price in key bunkering ports, and the trade factor for the specific trade. NBF is already charged separately from the ocean freight. As per December 1st, the NBF amount per trade will be as follows:
