NEW CUSTOMS REQUIREMENT IN DRC
Decision nr DGDA/DG/DV/DGA.T/DG/077/2016 of 16/03/16, applied in Matadi since 31st March, 2016 states that the customs office in DRC is requesting 1 Original Bill of lading be attached to the customs clearance and filed after completion of the customs procedures by importers or their agents.
Knowing the fact that our Agents cannot release the cargo without surrender of 1 original Bill of Lading by the receiver, kindly request Shippers for all shipments bound for DRC, to dispatch 2 original Bills of Lading to the receivers in order to enable them to take delivery of their cargo (1 to agents, 1 to customs).
